Job summary

Nautilus Homes in Sarasota, FL seeks an Assistant Project Manager who recently graduated in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field to join our onsite team. You will work alongside seasoned Project Managers and Superintendents to learn how award‑winning custom homes are built from the ground up.

We are a second‑generation, family‑owned firm building distinctive waterfront homes. This role offers hands‑on experience, leadership development, and a clear path toward Project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Construction, or related field.
• Recent graduate or up to 2 years of construction experience through internships or full-time work.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with planning and coordinating residential construction projects.
• Help maintain project schedules and monitor progress.
• Track budgets, purchase orders, invoices, and change orders.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and homeowners.
• Attend project meetings and document action items.
• Perform regular jobsite visits to monitor quality, safety, and project progress.
• Assist with RFIs, submittals, permits, inspections, and project documentation.
• Maintain organized project files using construction management software.
• Support problem-solving and help keep projects moving forward.

What You'll Do

As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll support our Project Management team through every phase of construction while learning the processes that deliver exceptional homes.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Construction, or a related field
• Recent graduate or up to 2 years of construction experience through internships or full-time work
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
• Comfortable working both in the office and on active construction sites
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Procore is a plus
• Valid driver's license

What Success Looks Like

Within your first year, you'll confidently support multiple custom home projects, build strong relationships with trade partners, and become a trusted member of the project team. You'll develop the knowledge and experience needed to advance toward a Project Manager role.
