Job description

Omaha, NE | Full-time | Monday-Friday | On-site

Ready to Take More Responsibility for Getting Things Done?

You’ve helped organize work, handled competing requests, or made sure a team met a deadline. Now you want to understand more of the planning behind the work and contribute to how projects are delivered.

We're hiring an Assistant Project Manager in Omaha to support project planning, coordinate assigned activities, and keep colleagues informed as work progresses. You'll work alongside the Project Manager, taking responsibility for schedules, documentation, and follow-up while developing your own project coordination skills.

Your Part in Project Delivery
  • Help prepare project plans, schedules, milestones, and task assignments.
  • Confirm requirements with colleagues, clients, and suppliers.
  • Monitor agreed deadlines and follow up on outstanding deliverables.
  • Organize progress meetings, record decisions, and communicate next steps.
  • Maintain project trackers, supporting documents, and current records.
  • Assist with tracking resource needs and approved project expenses.
  • Flag delays or conflicting requirements and support final reviews and handovers.

You’ll help make sure the team knows what is due, who owns each action, and where additional support is needed.

Experience We Can Build On

Project support, operations, administration, logistics, events, or team coordination experience is helpful. We also welcome transferable experience from Omaha workplaces where you've organized schedules, managed requests, trained colleagues, or supported delivery.

You don't need a previous management title or a specific degree. Relevant examples from employment, internships, coursework, volunteering, or military service are welcome.

  • Clear communication and dependable follow-through.
  • Strong organization when managing several tasks.
  • Accuracy when updating documents and reporting progress.
  • Confidence using spreadsheets, calendars, and workplace software.
  • Practical problem-solving and judgment about when to seek guidance.
  • Reliable availability for on-site work in Omaha.
Develop With Guidance

Training will introduce you to company systems, planning procedures, and reporting expectations. Working with the Project Manager, you'll learn how to assess priorities, coordinate resources, communicate changes, and identify potential delivery risks.

As your skills develop, you'll have opportunities to take ownership of additional coordination tasks with support from the wider team.
