Job summary

Rusk, Inc. seeks a qualified Assistant Project Manager to support on-site project managers for luxury residential renovations in Manhattan. The candidate should have at least two years of PM support experience and read plans with proficiency in coordination and safety.

Role requires walking sites, lifting materials up to 20 lbs, and effective communication with clients and stakeholders. Location is New York City with office-site work pattern.

Qualifications

• A.S. or B.S. in construction management or related preferred.
• Minimum of two years as Assistant Project Manager for luxury residential renovations in Manhattan.
• OSHA-30 safety training.
• Ability to read plans and make sketches.
• Expertise in construction processes, materials, methods, and trades.
• Ability to communicate in standard English, both speech and writing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage project construction from preconstruction to punch list.
• Establish relationships with prospective clients, design teams and subcontractors.
• Assist with preconstruction activities.
• Develop and manage project schedules and budgets.
• Establish and monitor safety protocols.
• Perform regular Matterport scans for each project.
• Coordinate manpower, production, and QA/QC with PM and Site Superintendent.
• Set and manage priorities across multiple job stages.

Qualifications:

• A. or B.S. in construction management or a construction-related profession preferred
• Minimum of two years in assistant project management experience for luxury residential renovations in Manhattan
• OSHA-30 safety training
• Ability to read plans and make sketches
• Competency using: Procore, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Bluebeam, and other related programs
• Expertise in construction processes, including specialty trades, building materials and methods
• Ability to walk around construction sites, climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolding
• Some lifting of materials and equipment, including Matterport cameras and laptop computers — up to 20 lbs
• Ability to communicate in standard English in both speech and writing
• Ability to effectively communicate the company’s building process and ethics to potential and current clients, as well as other project stakeholders

• Schedule: Monday-Friday (eight-hour shifts)
• Pay: $70,000-$110,000 per year
