We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced Permanent Assistant Project Manager to join our growing team in the Construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in mechanical design build and HVAC systems, with a proven track record in managing mid-rise and high-rise residential, retail, and commercial construction projects. This role requires strong communication, scheduling, and time management skills, as well as proficiency in resource allocation. The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in the planning, execution, and closure of various construction projects.
• Manage the coordination and completion of projects on time, within budget, and within scope.
• Oversee all aspects of projects, including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring and summarizing progress.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
• Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members.
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
• Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within the scope, and within budget.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Assist in the development of HVAC MEP and Mechanical Construction designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager, Junior Project Manager, or a similar role in the construction industry.
• Proven working experience in project management in the construction sector.
• Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in HVAC, mechanical design build, and MEP.
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management tools.
• PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus.
• Experience with mid-rise and high-rise residential, retail, and commercial construction projects.
• Proficiency in office fit-outs and retail construction.
• Previous experience as a mechanical contractor is highly desirable.
