Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to oversee multiple commercial projects across the United States. The role requires a strong background in mechanical engineering, construction, and project management to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and high-quality results.

You will lead planning, procurement, scheduling, budgets, vendor contracts, safety compliance (OSHA-30), and cross-functional coordination with general contractors, developers, and owners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Science or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years in project management within engineering or construction.
  • Understanding of corporate and industry PM practices and standards.
  • Experience with documentation, cost control, scheduling, procurement and change orders.
  • Strong negotiation skills and OSHA-30 certification.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all stages of the project life cycle from initiation to closure.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans and schedules.
  • Coordinate resources including procurement of materials and services.
  • Monitor progress and adjust plans to ensure successful completion.
  • Manage budgets, cost control, and change order pricing.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and stakeholders.
  • Ensure complete, accurate project documentation compliant with standards.
  • Implement and maintain safety protocols, OSHA-30 compliant.
  • Handle issues professionally and diplomatically under pressure.
  • Use MS Office and other systems to manage projects and communicate with stakeholders.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Mechanical Project Manager for multiple locations around the U.S.. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong background in mechanical engineering, construction, and project management. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our commercial projects, from planning and procurement to execution and completion. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans and schedules.
  • Coordinate and manage all project resources, including procurement of materials and services.
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion.
  • Manage project budgets, including cost control and change order pricing.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors and stakeholders.
  • Ensure all project documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with company and industry standards.
  • Implement and maintain safety protocols, ensuring OSHA-30 certification requirements are met.
  • Handle any issues or crises that arise, demonstrating professionalism and diplomacy in stressful situations.
  • Use MS Office and other software systems to effectively manage projects and communicate with team members and stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Science, or equivalent levels of technical training and related experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, specifically in the engineering or construction industry.
  • Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, and standards related to project management.
  • Proven experience with project documentation, cost control, scheduling, procurement, and change order pricing.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • OSHA-30 certification.
  • Excellent MS Office skills and the ability/drive to learn new software systems.
  • Experience with construction management and commercial projects.
  • Proven ability to manage project budgets effectively.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and diplomacy.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
