Job summary

Ascot Pierce LLC is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join its growing team on infrastructure and public works projects in New Jersey. The role focuses on learning the construction delivery process with a clear path to running projects independently.

Successful candidates will work across projects in New Jersey and into lower New York State, supported by a team with diverse backgrounds from commercial, retail, residential, telecom, and healthcare construction.

Qualifications

• Three or more years' experience in construction in an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, Field Engineer or project coordination capacity.
• Exposure to submittals, RFIs, procurement, scheduling or cost tracking.
• Site based experience and a practical understanding of how work is delivered.
• Ambition to progress into running projects independently.
• A degree is not required.

Job description

Ascot Pierce have partnered with a privately owned construction contractor delivering infrastructure and public works projects. The business is growing and is appointing Assistant Project Managers, with a clear development route into full Project Manager positions.

The projects cover water and wastewater infrastructure, treatment facilities, utilities, piping, concrete, earthwork and site civil.

A heavy civil or water/wastewater background is not required. Hiring is based on general construction ability and willingness to learn. Previous hires have come from commercial, retail, residential, telecom, healthcare and pharmaceutical construction.

Successful candidates are assigned to a single project rather than travelling between sites. Work is spread across New Jersey and into lower New York State.
