Job summary

Ascot Pierce LLC in New Jersey is seeking an experienced Project Manager to run construction projects across its portfolio, with responsibility for end-to-end delivery, coordinating subcontractors and crews, and maintaining project budgets and schedules.

Job description

Ascot Pierce have partnered with a privately owned construction contractor with a long track record delivering essential infrastructure and public works projects. The business is growing and is appointing Project Managers to run work across its portfolio.

The projects cover water and wastewater infrastructure, treatment facilities, utilities, piping, concrete, earthwork and site civil.

Unusually for a contractor in this space, a heavy civil or water/wastewater background is not required. Hiring is based on construction competency rather than sector experience. Successful hires have come from commercial fit out, retail rollouts, supermarket remodels, telecom, residential, healthcare and pharmaceutical construction.

Requirements

• Approximately 10 years' experience in construction
• Proven delivery of projects end to end, including management of subcontractors and crews
• Strong command of budgets, schedules, submittals, RFIs and change orders
• Genuine site presence rather than a purely office based background

A degree is not required.

Location

Successful candidates are assigned to a single project rather than travelling between sites. Work is spread across New Jersey and into lower New York State, so there is a strong likelihood of an assignment within a reasonable commute.
