Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for a large-scale South Florida school program. You will work with senior PMs to prepare RFPs, solicit proposals, negotiate contracts, coordinate design and construction teams, and ensure governance and turnover on a major education project.

You will be mentored toward becoming a Project Manager, gaining experience with owner reps, design and construction oversight and a fast-paced program environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field required or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of project management experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare RFPs, solicit proposals, negotiate and manage contracts.
• Coordinate design and construction teams and maintain project governance.
• Conduct field quality control of craft trades at site and ensure successful project turnover.
• Mentor and collaborate with senior project managers to progress toward becoming a Project Manager.

We’re seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our team in South Florida managing a large-scale projects. This exciting and engaging program will utilize your Project Management skills to design and construct crucially important schools which will educate the next generation of American students. At Jacobs, you’ll work with the best Engineers and Project Managers in the business, as well as gain experience working directly with the Contractors. As an Assistant Project Manager, you will work side-by-side with senior project managers in all aspects of project management, including preparing RFPs, soliciting proposals, negotiating and managing contracts, coordinating design and construction teams, maintaining project governance, conducting field quality control of the craft trades at site, and ensuring successful project turnover. Your efforts will ensure this complex program is managed with organization, accountability, and transparency. Your education and experience will be engaged on a daily basis, and you will be mentored in the more complex aspects of project management and building relationships as you progress towards becoming a Project Manager.

Here's what you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field. Relevant experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis where permitted by client requirements. Equivalent combinations of education, military service, technical training, certifications, and directly related experience may be considered.
• 2+ years project management

• The base salary range for this position is $85,000.00 to $110,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
