Job summary

Amicus Talent Group is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager for a well-established General Contractor in Texas. This role supports delivery from preconstruction to closeout, collaborating with Project Managers, Superintendents, and senior leadership to ensure on-time, on-budget project completion.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in construction project management, GC background preferred, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction project management experience.
• General Contractor experience strongly preferred.
• Experience as Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer or similar.
• Degree in Construction Management or related field desirable
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification
• CCM, PMP and/or LEED accreditation would be a strong advantage
• Strong understanding of construction documentation, schedules and project controls
• Experience with RFIs, submittals, change orders and subcontractor coordination
• Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with clients, subcontractors and project teams

Responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors and project teams.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders and project documentation.
• Support project schedules, budgets and cost tracking.
• Assist with procurement and subcontractor coordination.
• Review drawings, specifications and scopes of work.
• Attend project meetings and support client communication.

We are working with a well-established General Contractor in Texas that is looking to appoint an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join the team.

The Role

The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents and senior leadership to support the successful delivery of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
