Job summary

Amicus Talent Solutions is assisting a well-established General Contractor in Texas to appoint an experienced Assistant Project Manager. This role supports delivery from preconstruction through closeout, coordinating subs, RFIs, submittals, scheduling and client communication.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in construction PM, GC background, and relevant certifications (OSHA 30, CCM/PMP/LEED). You will collaborate with project teams to drive progress and ensure quality and safety on site.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction project management experience.
• Previous General Contractor experience strongly preferred.
• Experience as an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer or similar.
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field is highly desirable.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification.
• CCM, PMP and/or LEED accreditation would be a strong advantage.
• Strong understanding of construction documentation, schedules and project controls.
• Experience with RFIs, submittals, change orders and subcontractor coordination.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating subcontractors, vendors and project teams.
• Managing RFIs, submittals, change orders and project documentation.
• Supporting project schedules, budgets and cost tracking.
• Assisting with procurement and subcontractor coordination.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and scopes of work.
• Attending project meetings and supporting client communication.
• Monitoring project progress, risks and key milestones.
• Supporting quality, safety and project closeout.
• Working closely with field and office teams to keep projects moving.
