Job summary

Design Hire in Mesa, United States, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support commercial construction projects from planning through closeout. Candidates with roofing, architectural construction, or building envelope experience are strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Experience supporting commercial construction or architectural projects in an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, Project Coordinator, or similar role.
• Understanding of construction contracts, project scheduling, project reporting, and scope management.
• Working knowledge of BIM coordination and construction modeling preferred.
• Experience with Trimble software or related construction technology is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with planning, scheduling, and execution from project kickoff through completion.
• Review project scope of work, contract documents, drawings, specifications, and project requirements to support successful project delivery.
• Prepare project reports, meeting minutes, status updates, submittals, RFIs, and other project documentation.
• Coordinate with customers, architects, contractors, vendors, fabrication teams, and field personnel to ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Support project scheduling, procurement activities, change order tracking, closeout documentation, and overall project administration.
