Job summary

Thomas Young Group in Greater Chicago is seeking a junior construction professional to support senior project managers on plumbing projects from start to finish. You’ll help build schedules, review drawings, and coordinate with field teams to keep work flowing smoothly.

You’ll assist with estimating, track costs, monitor budgets, and help with closeout documents while ensuring code compliance and safety on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
• 1–2 years of construction experience preferred.
• Exposure to plumbing project management or estimating is a plus.
• Detail oriented with the ability to work across office and field teams.

Responsibilities

• Support senior project managers across active plumbing projects from start to finish.
• Build and update schedules while tracking key deadlines.
• Review drawings, RFIs, and specifications.
• Coordinate with PMs, foremen, and field teams on daily work and sequencing.
• Assist with estimating and bidding by tracking costs and preparing reports.
• Help monitor project budgets with guidance from the PM.
• Support project closeout by preparing punch lists, collecting as built drawings, and organizing turnover documents.
• Help ensure plumbing codes, safety rules, and job site standards are followed.
• Log safety meetings and incidents.
