GH Engage, a rapidly growing ENR-ranked contractor in Chicago, is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead technically complex facilities from concept through closeout. This role offers exposure to high-value Data Centre and Food & Beverage projects and a pivotal position within a top-tier team.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the full project lifecycle from planning to closeout.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams, contractors, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Manage budgets, programmes, procurement, and resources.
  • Communicate with clients and stakeholders with regular updates.
  • Oversee safety, quality, and contractual compliance on site.
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to join a rapidly growing, top-ranked ENR contractor delivering some of the most technically complex projects across the Food & Beverage and Data Centre sectors.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of high-value projects, work alongside experienced construction professionals, and play a key role in delivering technically demanding facilities from concept through to completion.

The Opportunity:

As Project Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the successful execution of assigned projects, leading teams, managing key stakeholders, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

You will be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from pre-construction and planning through to final delivery and closeout.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of the full project lifecycle, from planning and mobilisation through to completion.
  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, contractors, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Manage project budgets, programmes, procurement, and resources to ensure successful delivery.
  • Work closely with clients and key stakeholders, providing clear communication and regular project updates.
  • Oversee construction progress, quality, safety, and contractual compliance.
  • Identify potential risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure projects remain on schedule, within budget, and aligned with client expectations.
  • Drive a strong culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across the project team.
What We're Looking For
  • Demonstrable experience managing complex construction projects.
  • Background within Data Centres, Food & Beverage, Industrial, Advanced Manufacturing, or other technically complex environments.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes and MEP systems.
  • Proven ability to manage contractors, consultants, clients, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial, organisational, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage demanding programmes and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Degree or relevant professional qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
