Assistant Project Manager – Drive High-Stakes Public & Commercial Infrastructure
Job Overview
  • Company: CG Group, LLC.
  • Salary/Pay Rate: $75,000 - $95,000 per year plus Performance Bonus and Profit Sharing.
  • Location: Walton Hills, OH (20% Travel Required).
  • Job/Employment Type: Full Time.
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday.
  • Project Scope: Commercial, Industrial, and State Government
  • Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: None Required.

The Opportunity: You'll be hands‑on from kickoff to closeout on complex government and commercial renovations across Ohio, helping deliver projects on time, on budget, and with the kind of client experience that earns repeat work. This role is built for an ambitious professional ready to grow into full Project Management within a company moving fast.

How You Will Make An Impact
  • Manage all phases of construction from pre‑construction through closeout to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Execute critical project documentation including RFIs, submittals, and change orders to maintain project momentum.
  • Review and verify certified payroll and prevailing wage documentation to ensure total regulatory compliance.
  • Facilitate bidding and evaluation processes to secure high‑quality subcontractors and vendors.
  • Coordinate with field superintendents to align administrative goals with on‑site construction progress.
  • Support the collection of vital closeout documents including O&M manuals and as‑built drawings for final delivery.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in commercial or government construction project management.
  • Proven experience working for a General Contractor or Construction Manager.
  • Deep proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Experience managing projects governed by public procurement regulations or prevailing wage laws.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time to jobsites and state agency meetings throughout Ohio.
  • Professional proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture.
  • Direct experience with State of Ohio projects governed by OFCC contract terms.
  • Prior work with agencies such as ODRC, ODNR, ODOT, or state university facilities.
  • Possession of an OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification.
