About this opportunity

Gleeds is an independent global Construction consultancy, specializing in Program and Project Management, Project Controls and Strategic Advisory.

We are currently looking for an Assistant Project Manager to be dedicated to one of our key clients in the Atlanta, GA area.

The successful candidate will support Project Managers with the execution of natural gas projects throughout the Metro Atlanta area. Responsibilities the position will help Project Managers with supporting are the management of internal and contract track leads, scope development, execution of contracts and RFP efforts, reporting of progress, tracking changes, and reporting and financial forecasting throughout the lifecycle of the project. Assistant Project Managers must be highly organized, capable of learning new skills and ultimately anticipating the needs of Project Managers and delivering on those needs.

Candidates are required to have experience and/or high working knowledge in the following areas:

• Financial forecasting
• Cost trend analysis
• Project performance analysis
• Preparation of monthly progress reports
• Track Work Orders and contracts
• Inter departmental coordination
• Construction coordination
• Change order management
• QA/QC checks
• Support compilation of bid documentation
• Create Purchase orders and track spending limits
• Assist in project closeout activities
• Adhoc reviews and analysis
• Variance analysis
• Tracking RFI’s
• Contract compliance tracking
• Monitoring schedules
  

Who we’re looking for:
Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills

• Heavy industry, infrastructure and energy sectors
• Two (2) – Five (5) years project management or controls experience
• Thoroughly understands and utilizes Information Technology in the performance of their work including Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite
• Able to use Excel to advanced levels
• Experience of working on multiple projects simultaneously
  

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Project Management, Construction Management or related Engineering Field or equivalent industry experience
