A leading environmental services provider in California seeks an Assistant Project Manager (Project Biologist I) to support project managers and conduct biological analyses. What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Support Project Managers in project tasks to meet profitability goals and deliver top-notch services
- Conduct biological and waters/wetland analysis, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations
- Manage project assignments for environmental analysis and develop project management support
- Oversee project compliance with environmental mitigation measures and communication with clients
- Perform biological surveys, monitoring, and report preparation, ensuring strong QA/QC procedures
What is Required (Qualifications):
- BS or MS in biology, ecology, wetland science, or a related field
- At least 5 years of professional experience as a biologist in Southern California
- Knowledge of current environmental regulations (FESA, CESA, CWA, CEQA, NEPA)
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Strong technical writing and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in specialized fields such as botany or wildlife biology with relevant permits
- Experience conducting wetland delineations and preparing jurisdictional delineation reports
- Familiarity with managing databases
