Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California is seeking an Assistant Program Manager for Evangeline’s House in Spokane. This full-time, non-exempt position supports the Program Manager, oversees shelter operations, meals, and supervision for foster youth and young adults in emergency placements up to 30 days.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s in social work or 5 years related experience (HS diploma/GED) and supervisory background.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field or five years of related experience with HS diploma/GED
• One or more years of supervisory experience preferred
• Proficient in typing, organizing and filing; good interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Assist Program Manager and manage youth and staff within the program’s structure
• Communicate effectively with agencies and administration
• Prepare and manage annual budget
• Maintain training certificates and staff records
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and HIPAA/DSHS requirements
• Supervise staff schedules, timesheets and breaks
• Coordinate transportation and youth activities
• Support program operations and community relations
