Job summary

Devereux New Jersey is seeking an Assistant Program Manager to help adults with autism and developmental disabilities build independence and daily living skills. The role involves supervising programs, coordinating schedules and transportation, and engaging families and communities to enhance outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to obtain a valid, non-provisional driver’s license.
• Availability to attend a two-week paid orientation training that is hybrid and in person.
• Empathy, reliability, and a team-oriented approach to supporting adults with autism and developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Help ensure the safety, health, and well-being of individuals in our care.
• Supervise and support the planning, implementation, and documentation of programs that address each individual's social, emotional, physical, and personal needs.
• Supervise, plan and participate in community-based jobs, volunteer opportunities, and outings for our individuals to be involved with.
• Schedule and transport our individuals to and from day program.
• Build positive, productive relationships with individuals' family members to help ensure the individual thrives under the care we provide.
