The Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR) is dedicated to understanding the economic challenges, opportunities, and policies affecting people in the United States and around the world. Since our founding in 1982, we have been Stanford's home for economic policy scholarship.
POSITION SUMMARY:
SIEPR seeks an experienced and highly organized Assistant Program Manager (APM) to provide efficient and effective management and operational support for the programs that SIEPR offers for faculty, students, research staff, and visitors. This position reports to the Director of Programs and Faculty Affairs.
The APM helps to strategize and implement program initiatives. The APM is responsible for administering the day-to-day activities to ensure program objectives are met. Responsibilities include developing budgets, outreach, recruitment, organizing activities/workshops, and onboarding/offboarding of program participants. This position requires a high level of planning, communication, judgment, influence, initiative, and follow-through. The APM is expected to work efficiently, pay attention to detail, and deliver prompt and excellent service to SIEPR’s stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have a strong background and proven track record in managing complex programs with competing priorities. They will have excellent problem solving and oral and written communication skills and will be able to address problems that arise with courtesy and sound judgment. Past experience at Stanford, including student and financial systems, is a plus.
This is a full-time, hybrid position with the expectation of working on-site 3 days a week and when needed for in-person events.

The expected pay range for this position is $100,023 to $124,516 per annum / hour.
