Job summary

Unity House of Troy Inc. is seeking an Assistant Program Director for the Domestic & Sexual Violence non-residential program in Troy, NY. The position is full-time and hourly, located at Kathryn Allen Center, Troy, NY.

Responsibilities include emergency assistance, crisis intervention, safety planning, referrals, and advocacy. Some on-call coverage nights/weekends and compliance tasks are required. Benefits include generous time off and health insurance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 3 or more years of related experience.
• Valid and clean NYS driver’s license is required.
• Reliable transportation.
• Associates Degree preferred with 4 or more years of related experience.
• High school diploma required with 5 years related experience.
• Proof of education may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency assistance for victims and survivors of domestic and sexual violence seeking assistance.
• Provide emotional support, crisis intervention and safety planning.
• Provide referrals and linkages to supportive services.
• Gain understanding and knowledge of survivors needs.
• Assist with navigating services that survivors may be entitled to.
• Advocate for victims of domestic and sexual violence through compassion and understanding of the barriers they face.
• Scheduling and administrative tasks, including case conferences for case solutions.
• Complete contract and/or regulatory compliance activities.
• Participate in rotating supervisor on-call system that requires some nights and weekends.
• Promote a work culture of inclusion and belongings.
