The Child Center of NY seeks an Assistant Program Director (Inclusion Coordinator) to support daily operations, supervision, and safe, high-quality programming. The role also serves as the Inclusion Coordinator for equitable access and accommodations for participants with disabilities and English Language Learners.

You will work with the AVP of YD SBMH Programming to access guidance, resources, and training, while ensuring compliant, trauma-informed practices and strong stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Social Work, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience working with youth in educational or community settings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic data entry systems.

Responsabilités

• Assist in planning, implementing, and monitoring program activities to align with agency mission and participant needs.
• Support staff scheduling, supervision, and program logistics.
• Maintain a visible presence during program hours to ensure safety, engagement, and quality of service.
• Observe programming, provide coaching and feedback, and help ensure compliance with DYCD requirements.
• Serve as Inclusion Coordinator to help participants, families, and staff access tools and resources, including DYCD supports.
• Develop and manage Individualized Accommodation Plans and maintain Student Behavioral Support Plans and Logs.
• Coordinate provided services (paraprofessionals, bilingual staff) and referrals to NYCPS professionals.
• Communicate with DYCD about specialized supports beyond the program’s accommodation capacity.
