Job summary

The Child Center of NY seeks an Assistant Program Director (Inclusion Coordinator) to support program operations and lead inclusive practices across Youth Development services in NYC. This role emphasizes coordination for participants with disabilities and English Language Learners, working closely with the AVP of YD SBMH Programming.

The APD supervises staff, ensures compliance with DYCD guidelines, and maintains strong family and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, or related field preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, implementing, and monitoring program activities to align with agency mission and participant needs.
• Support staff scheduling, supervision, and program logistics.
• Maintain visible presence to ensure safety, engagement, and quality of service during program hours.
• Observe programming, provide coaching and feedback, and help ensure compliance with DYCD and agency requirements.
• Serve as Inclusion Coordinator to identify and access tools/resources for participants with disabilities and ELLs.
• Develop and manage Individualized Accommodation Plans and participate in multi-disciplinary coordination with DYCD and school partners.
