Job summary

The Child Center of NY is seeking an Assistant Program Director to support the Program Director in daily operations and ensure safe, high-quality programming across our 50 locations in NYC. The APD will supervise staff, monitor compliance, and maintain effective communication with families and partners.

They will serve as Inclusion Coordinator, coordinating accommodations for participants with disabilities and English Language Learners, and collaborating with the AVP of Youth Development,

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience working with youth in educational or community settings.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience supporting children and youth with disabilities and/or English Language Learners.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, implementing, and monitoring activities to meet goals.
• Supervise staff, coordinate scheduling and logistics.
• Maintain safety, engagement, and quality during program hours.
• Collaborate with DYCD and partners to ensure inclusive supports.
• Communicate with families about needs and progress.
