Job summary

The Child Center of NY is seeking an Assistant Program Director (Inclusion Coordinator) for the SONYC program at I.S. 061 Leonardo Da Vinci in New York, NY.

The APD will support the Program Director in daily operations, supervise staff, and ensure safe, high-quality youth programming. As Inclusion Coordinator, you will ensure accommodations for participants including those with disabilities and English Language Learners, coordinate services with DYCD and school partners, and promote inclusive

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent; BA/BS preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of youth work in education or community settings.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience supporting children and youth with disabilities and/or English Language Learners.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic data entry systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and monitor program activities aligned with agency goals.
• Supervise staff, coordinate scheduling, and manage program logistics.
• Maintain safety, engagement, and quality of service during program hours.
• Coordinate inclusion supports and communicate with DYCD and partners.
