Job summary

Commonpoint seeks an Assistant Program Director to support daily program operations, supervise frontline staff, and engage participants and families in a safe, welcoming environment. You will coordinate logistics, attendance, and communication while ensuring compliance with funder and regulatory requirements.

Reports to the Program Director; position supports seasonal and part-time staff across diverse sites, with a focus on quality program delivery and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Services, or related field preferred.
• Minimum two years of experience working with youth in educational, recreational, afterschool or community settings.
• Experience supervising staff, coordinating operations, and engaging families.
• Strong organizational, communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support daily program operations and activities.
• Coordinate staff coverage and schedule adjustments for safe operations.
• Conduct attendance outreach and family communication.
• Escalate operational concerns to the Program Director as appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with agency procedures, health and safety protocols.
