Job Description

Weber State University invites applications for a full-timetenure-track faculty position in the School of Computing to beginin Fall 2027. The School of Computing houses three programs:Computer Science, Cybersecurity and Network Management, and Web& User Experience.

Job Duties

Successful candidates will be expected to teach graduate andundergraduate courses in a variety of modalities and locations,including face-to-face, virtual, and online courses at the Ogdenand Davis campuses, as well as occasional evening classes.Additional responsibilities will include conducting research andscholarly activities, participating in course and curriculumdevelopment, and providing service to the department, college, anduniversity.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must have a PhD degree in Computer Science or relateddiscipline or be on track (ABD) to complete their PhD by July2027.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong preference will be given to candidates whose PhD degree,research, and/or professional experience demonstrates aspecialization in Bioinformatics or closely related computationalfields (e.g., Biomedical Informatics, Computational Biology,Computational Genomics, etc.). Seeking applicants who are able to effectively communicate inEnglish, both verbally and in writing. They must also demonstrateproven ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively withstudents, staff, and faculty peers.
