Xavier University invites applications for a twelve-month, non-tenure-track Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Division of Physiology and Pathology at XUCOM. The role focuses on developing and delivering core curriculum, mentoring medical students, and contributing to assessment and service within the new College of Osteopathic Medicine.

The position emphasizes teaching excellence, student mentorship, and collaboration across the basic science curriculum while supporting Xavier's Jesuit

Qualifications

• Required: Terminal degree in discipline related to medical education (PhD, MD, DO)
• Preferred: 1-3 years teaching experience in medical education or graduate education
• Evidence of student mentoring
• Applicants with expertise in histopathology and/or pathophysiology will be especially considered

Responsibilities

• Designs and delivers curricular content within the College of Osteopathic Medicine
• Involved in the creation of assessments within the curriculum of the College of Osteopathic Medicine
• Advises and mentors students of XUCOM
• Contributes to the mission of the college through teaching and service
• Other duties as assigned
