Job summary

Lincoln Memorial University-College of Dental Medicine is seeking candidates for the position of Full-Time Dental Hygiene Faculty. The faculty maintain high academic standards, advise students, develop and maintain curriculum, and stay current in pedagogy and teaching methodology.

The role requires teaching in traditional and online environments, curricular oversight, and active participation in college and community service.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required and licensure eligible in Tennessee.
• Minimum of five years' experience in the field.
• Knowledge of current trends and practices in the field.
• Experience teaching in traditional and online environments.
• Ability to analyze student learning outcomes and improve teaching.
• Ability to collaborate and participate in professional organizations.

Responsibilities

• Use the approved course syllabus format when creating course syllabi.
• Teach all classes according to an approved course syllabus.
• Ensure that each course contains essential curricular components and current pedagogy.
• Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality for assigned classes.
• Assess student achievement and adapt teaching based on feedback and universal design.
• Submit attendance, grades and related reports accurately and timely.
• Attend department meetings and contribute to program goals and curriculum review.
• Initiate discussions to improve teaching, curriculum and processes for student outcomes.
• Engage in professional development to stay current with trends and approaches.
• Serve on college committees as needed and requested.
• Demonstrate professional attitude, compassion and commitment to student growth.
• Support the University mission, vision and values.
• Report to the Director and communicate goals regularly.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Full-time faculty members at Lincoln Memorial University-College of Dental Medicine are responsible for maintaining the highest academic standards in their particular disciplines. Faculty advise students; develop and maintain curriculum; stay current in their disciplines; stay current with pedagogy and teaching methodology; participate in on and off-campus staff development activities; fulfill administrative responsibilities relevant to their positions; and participate in college and community service. Required Qualifications

Associates degree required.
