Randolph-Macon’s new undergraduate Data Science program, housed inthe Department of Mathematics, offers both a major and a minorbuilt on foundational and elective coursework in mathematics,statistics, data science, computer science, biology, and ethics. Weseek a dynamic candidate who can contribute broadly to the programthrough hands-on, project-based teaching; curriculum developmentand interdisciplinary collaboration; and research, includingundergraduate research, that engages students in applying corestatistical and computational principles to complex, real-worlddata problems.
Randolph-Macon College facultyteach, advise, conduct research and engage in scholarship withundergraduate students, and serve the College and program. Primaryteaching responsibilities include administering and creatingcourses in the Data Science program and contributing to the generaleducation program.
The salary range for this position at the Assistant Professor levelis $90,000 - $93,000 depending on previous experience in a tenure-track teaching position.
