Saint Mary's College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Mathematics and Computer Science beginning Fall 2027. Responsibilities include an 18-credit teaching load per academic year, directing undergraduate research, mentoring students, and service to the department and College.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in computer science, mathematics, or a closely related field.
• Teaching and scholarly interests in computing, applied or computational mathematics, statistics, data-intensive methods, or related interdisciplinary applications.
• Ability to contribute to instruction in computer science, data science, and/or mathematics.
• Commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring students in a liberal arts environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an 18-credit teaching load per academic year, typically three courses per semester, across CS, data science, and mathematics.
• Direct undergraduate research and senior comprehensive projects; mentor and advise students.
• Engage in scholarly activity appropriate to the discipline.
• Contribute to service within the Department and College.
