Job summary

CT State Three Rivers campus seeks an Assistant Professor/Program Coordinator to teach allied health courses, develop syllabi, and coordinate program activities.

This on-site, 10-month position requires teaching 30 credit hours annually, advising students, and guiding curriculum reviews while partnering with local employers.

Salary is $75,362 per year with a comprehensive benefits package; priority consideration will be given to applications submitted by October 14, 2026.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an Allied Health or related field, certified as a Medical Assistant.
• Two years college teaching experience (48+ credits) with two years professional work experience in Allied Health or related field.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, including individuals with disabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)

Responsibilities

• Teach 30 credit hours per academic year.
• Deliver courses in lecture, hybrid, and online formats.
• Provide student support, mentoring, and academic advising.
• Develop curriculum and update instructional materials.
• Assist with program reviews and accreditation activities.
• Plan and execute program-related events.
• Attend workshops, trainings, and conferences to maintain currency in the field.
• Recruit, advise, and retain students in designated program areas.
• Schedule program courses and hire/evaluate faculty
• Establish partnerships with local organizations and employers.
• Arrange and supervise student internships.
