Assistant Professor/Lecturer, Business (multiple positions)
Muhlenberg College invites applications for two full‑time faculty positions in the Accounting, Business, Economics, and Finance Department for the Fall 2026 academic year. The positions may be filled at the rank of Tenure‑Track Assistant Professor or Lecturer. One position focuses on Marketing and the other on Management.
Responsibilities
- Teach a diverse range of undergraduate courses in business, including introductory, core, and upper‑level electives within the candidate’s area of expertise.
- Maintain an active and productive teaching agenda that integrates liberal arts perspectives with practical business education.
- For Tenure‑Track Assistant Professors, maintain an active research agenda that ideally involves and benefits undergraduate students.
- For Lecturers, forge and maintain strong relationships with the business community to enhance student opportunities.
- Strong preference for candidates who can effectively integrate AI tools and quantitative methods into teaching, design and lead experiential learning opportunities, and contribute to global education through curriculum and program development.
Qualifications
- Lecturer: Hold an MBA or a related graduate degree by the time of hire and demonstrate significant industry experience with a proven ability to forge relationships with the business community.
- Tenure‑Track Assistant Professor: Hold a DBA or PhD in Business, or a PhD in a related field by the time of hire.
- Successful candidates of either rank must complete satisfactory background checks, including education verification, criminal background checks, and child‑abuse clearance.
- We are currently unable to support new H‑1B visas for candidates residing outside the United States.
