Position Summary: Northern New Mexico College (NNMC) is a public two-year and four-year degree granting institution founded in 1909 by the New Mexico Constitution (https://nnmc.edu/). NNMC is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. NNMC operates from two campuses in Espanola and El Rito and serves an average of 1,500 students per semester. Applications are invited for a tenure-track assistant professor position (full-time faculty, nine-month contract) for the Information Engineering Technology program in the Department of Engineering and Technology at NNMC with a contract starting January 2027 (preferable) or August 2027. The position requires in-person presence at the Espanola campus. This position reports to the Chair of the Department of Engineering The Department of Engineering and Technology offers Bachelor degrees in Information Engineering Technology and Electromechanical Engineering Technology and Associate of Engineering degrees in Information Engineering Technology, Pre-Engineering, and Software Engineering along with Certificate programs in Computer Aided Design, and in Cybersecurity. Both Bachelor programs (Information Engineering Technology, and Electromechanical Engineering Technology) are accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET. SALARY: Based on credentials (highest degree) 9-month base salary, as per Board approved salary matrix.
