Job summary

Northern New Mexico College (NNMC) invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in Information Engineering Technology. This full-time nine-month faculty position starts January 2027 (preferable) or August 2027 and requires in-person presence at the Espanola campus.

The program offers ABET-accredited bachelor’s degrees and certificates, with active research and industry collaboration opportunities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in IT or closely related field is required.
• PhD in IT or related field preferred; ABDs welcome if completion is imminent.
• Experience with AI teaching may be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, prepare and teach undergraduate courses in Information Engineering Technology.
• Develop and maintain laboratories and facilities.
• Develop new online and hybrid courses and curricula as needed.
• Mentor students in research and capstone projects.
• Participate in ABET accreditation activities and assessment of student outcomes.
• Engage in outreach, recruitment and retention initiatives.
