Job summary

University of Bradford invites applications for a Permanent, Full Time role in the School of Allied Health Professions and Midwifery. You must be an NMC Registered Midwife and committed to Advanced HE membership, delivering inclusive midwifery learning within a culturally diverse student body.

You will lead modules and programmes, provide pastoral support, and collaborate across teaching teams to promote social mobility and equality.

Qualifications

• NMC Registered Midwife.
• Member of Advanced HE or commitment to achieving appropriate level of membership.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver socially inclusive learning opportunities across the midwifery programmes for students from diverse entry pathways.

Faculty

The Faculty of Health and Social Care scholarship and research activity has a strong focus on reducing health inequalities within society and enhancing the effectiveness of health care interventions. You will join a truly innovative midwifery team within the School of Allied Health, Midwifery and Social Work. We offer a range of postgraduate and undergraduate education, including our fully integrated pre‑registration BSc and MSc Midwifery programmes based on Problem Based Learning (PBL).

What you will be doing:

• Assume leadership roles which may include module leadership, programme lead or project lead.
• You will develop and deliver socially inclusive learning opportunities across the midwifery programmes for students from diverse entry pathways. You will also be supported to enhance teaching using theoretically informed methodologies, so that we meet our social mobility pledge and continue to be a university for social inclusion.
• Embodying the University’s values of excellence, inclusion, innovation and trust, you will be collegiate and take an active role in building friendly and supportive relationships with staff and students. You will work in a range of teams, such as module teaching teams, supervision teams and projects. You will also provide pastoral support and mentoring, particularly in supporting those facing barriers to engaging in university life.
