Job summary

University of Bradford invites applications for a Lecturer in Physiotherapy (Internal Applicants Only) within the Faculty of Health Studies, School of Allied Health Professions and Midwifery. This 0.6 FTE, permanent post is aimed at developing and delivering pre-registration physiotherapy teaching and supporting learners on placement.

HCPC registered physiotherapist with teaching experience and commitment to inclusive education is essential.

Faculty

The Faculty of Health and Social Care at the University of Bradford prepares students for careers across healthcare, social care, and related professions through a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. It is recognised for its strong focus on employability, research-informed teaching, and professional practice.

The faculty comprises three schools: Allied Health Professions, Midwifery and Social Work; Nursing, Public Health and Healthcare Leadership; and Pharmacy, Optometry and Medical Sciences.

Physiotherapy is within the School of Allied Health Professions Midwifery and Social Work. Physiotherapy has a long history at Bradford and has been at the forefront of delivering an award winning University Clinic and First Contact Practitioner education. We work in close collaboration with partners in the NHS, private and voluntary sectors to provide students with exceptional placement experience.

What you will be doing:

• Developing and delivering pre-registration physiotherapy teaching seminar and practical sessions.
• Working within the programme teams to support learners in university and on placement.
• Contributing to the delivery and development of the physiotherapy clinic.
• Contributing to school and college outreach and in-reach events and student recruitment
