The Exercise & Sport Science Program at St. Catherine University invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor in Exercise & Sport Science position.

Responsibilities

• Teach the equivalent of 1.0 FTE each academic year
• Advise EXSS students as assigned
• Develops and maintains a line of scholarship, where annualpeer-reviewed dissemination is expected (presentations and/orpublications)
• Collaborate and mentor undergraduate EXSS students withresearch
• Serve on departmental, HSSH, and/or university-electedcommittees
• Perform service (reviews, editorial boards, membership andservice with national organizations) within the field ofexpertise

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's degree in Exercise and Sport Science or related field
• Knowledge and expertise, and ability to teach courses, in thefollowing areas: exercise physiology, exercise testing andprescription, strength and conditioning, introduction to exerciseand sport science, exercise and sport science capstone.
• Prior experience developing and teaching labs in exercisephysiology, exercise testing and prescription, and strength andconditioning

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctoral or terminal professional degree in Exercise and SportScience or related field
• Experience advising undergraduate students and helping them toplan and prepare for graduate programs in the health sciences.
• Prior training and mentorship in research and some scholarlyexpertise, allowing for the development of a successful line ofscholarship.
• Experience using community-engaged learning practices inteaching.
• Expertise in some area of women's health
• Scholarship and teaching philosophy align with our university'ssocial justice, women-centered mission

Compensation

Annual wage is $74,477 - $82,752 depending on qualifications and experience.

The salary range listed reflects a good-faith estimate of whatwe reasonably anticipate to pay for this position, based on marketdata and internal equity, at the time of posting. Actualcompensation will be determined based on qualifications,experience, skills, and other relevant factors. St. Catherinereserves the right to modify or adjust compensation depending onUniversity needs.
