The Department of Exercise & Sport Science at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse is seeking applicants for a 9-month tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor with the start date of 8/23/2027 with potential of an early start January 2027. We encourage applications from candidates with expertise in Applied Exercise Science & Human Performance including, but not limited to strength and conditioning, exercise programming and fitness assessment, physical activity promotion, sport analytics and wearable technology, sport and exercise nutrition, adapted and inclusive physical activity, sport and exercise psychology, exercise across the lifespan and aging, or related areas. Under general supervision of the department chair, successfulcandidates will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses (if applicable) and advising students. In additionto preparing for and holding classes, teaching involves maintainingcurrency in the content area related to the teaching assignment, evaluating students' work, assessing student outcomes, providingregular and substantive feedback on student work, maintainingappropriate records, and holding office hours. The successfulcandidate is expected to maintain an active, on-going program ofscholarship appropriate to their discipline. In addition, facultyprovide service to the department, college, university, communityand/or professional organizations. Other duties may be assigned bythe chair or dean.

The College of Science & Health (CSH) is the largest academicunit at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse, bringing togetherdiverse disciplines across the natural, physical, computational,and health sciences.   • Evidence of successful teaching experience in two or moreundergraduate and/or graduate Exercise & Sport Science subjectareas, as demonstrated through course instruction, curriculumdevelopment, or program leadership.
