Department of Health Sciences in the College of Health Professions, has an opening for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor. The faculty position will include teaching undergraduate in-person, virtual, and online courses in health professions, with focus on health care knowledge, human disease, health research, and professional skill development. Faculty will advise and mentor students to assist with entry into graduate school or job placement in both clinical and indirect patient care professions. Faculty will also coordinate student capstone opportunities, and will be expected to make substantial contributions in teaching, research/scholarly activities, and service. The department also seeks candidates who will contribute to the University’s general education curriculum and its emphasis on using high-impact teaching practices, particularly those affiliated with one (or more) of the institution’s pedagogical initiatives (e.g., Community-based Learning, Critical Thinking, First Year Seminar, Writing Across Curriculum, etc.). Additionally, the ideal candidate will contribute to the College’s support of interdisciplinary programs of study. Candidates interviewing on campus must have official transcripts (undergraduate and graduate) forwarded directly to the chair of the search committee by their degree granting institutions, prior to an on-campus interview.
