Job Description Summary

This tenure-track faculty position in the Department of HealthSciences will teach professional health science courses, engages inscholarly research, serves on departmental and college committees, and participates in professional activities, including internal andexternal conferences and seminars. S/he will perform other dutieswithin the range of skills normally associated with a facultyposition of this classification in an evolving teaching andlearning environment within an integrated learner-centered academicprogram.

Hiring Range

$74,942.19 - $97,425.00

Education

Ph.D degree in a public health or health-related field.

Required Licensing/Certification
  • A certification as a registered Health Information Manager (RHIA ) or Nutritionist will be preferable.
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License preferred.

Work Experience
  • Capability to teach in different Health Science programs.
  • A history in health sciences’ counseling and education, research in the health sciences, knowledge of biochemistry.
  • Prior experience teaching at the undergraduate level in didactic, laboratory courses and online (2-3 years desirable).
  • Prior scholarly activity in an area of interest is desirable.
