JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Division of Environmental Science at Texas Woman's University invites applications for two tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor with an appointment starting in Fall 2025. Candidates should be engaged in innovative research in environmental science and have a clear vision for building an impactful research program with potential for extramural funding that includes both undergraduates and graduate students. We are particularly interested in strong candidates who wish to study local ecosystems and who will complement our existing strengths in data science, ecology, green chemistry, and STEM education.

Successful candidates will have a PhD in Environmental Science, Ecology or related fields, have teaching experience, and a desire to teach undergraduate courses and develop graduate level courses for a future MS Environmental Science degree. Environmental Science is a new interdisciplinary division in the School of the Sciences, encompassing faculty from Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, and Mathematics. TWU takes pride in interdisciplinary programs and is committed to fostering new collaborations across education, nursing, health science and basic science departments.
