Job summary

The Department of Educational Studies at the University of Nevada, Reno invites applications for an Assistant Professor position, beginning July 1, 2027. We seek an individual with expertise in instructional technology, learning design, and quantitative methods.

The selected candidate will develop an active research and publication agenda, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, advise graduate students, supervise dissertations, seek external funding, and provide service to the department,

Qualifications

earned doctorate by August 2027.
Expertise in data analytics for educational research, educational measurement and assessment, instructional design and AI in education.
Evidence of scholarly productivity or potential for rigorous quantitative research.
Evidence of effective graduate-level teaching across in-person, hybrid, and online modalities.

Responsibilities

Develop an active research and publication agenda.
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses.
Advise graduate students and supervise dissertations.
Seek external funding and provide service to department, college, university and profession.
