Nine (9)- month non-tenure-track undergraduate faculty position in the ACEN-accredited A-State School of Nursing. Participation in teaching and professional service is expected. This position is full-time, with a focus on weekend clinical placement in the BSN and AASN program options.
Knowledge of curriculum design, strategies to promote student learning, assessment and evaluation of learning, evidence-based education principles, basic nursing skills and a commitment to life-long learning.
Possesses interpersonal and communication skills necessary to teach as part of a faculty team.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities required or applicable to the position responsibilities and area of specialization, including special abilities.
Primarily weekend coverage, Typically, Thursday - Monday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (hours vary related to clinical rotations, office hours, didactic course load, and other program activities).
Regular and reliable attendance on campus and assigned clinical facility.

Up to 15 credit hour teaching workload.
Primary coverage is weekends for online program options for undergraduate nursing, assistance with covering on campus and distant campus program options, as needed
Academic experience preferred in the areas of medical/surgical nursing, ICU, mental health, and/or maternal/child.
1) An Earned Doctorate degree required, PhD preferred, or DNP
2) Unencumbered licensure to practice nursing as an RN in Arkansas or a compact state.
3) At least two (2) years of clinical practice as an RN.
4) Didactic and/or clinical teaching experience in nursing, preferred.
*If the degree held is a Masters of Science in Nursing Degree, the position will be at the rank of Instructor.
