Job summary

Red Seal Recruiting Ltd. is seeking an Assistant Production Manager in Columbus, OH. This role directs the Production department, supervises staff, and ensures products meet specifications while maintaining safety and efficiency.

You will train, plan, assign, and evaluate work, and drive continuous improvement across the plant. The ideal candidate has supervisory experience in manufacturing, a related degree or diploma, and a proven ability to manage production priorities and problems

• Ability to enforce safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Directs the Production department to meet or exceed requirements.
• Plans and assigns work, trains staff, and evaluates performance.
• Ensures production schedules are followed and priorities are set.
• Assesses process improvements and implements efficiency measures.
• Oversees equipment setup and routine maintenance.
• Coordinates with other supervisory staff to ensure plant-wide alignment.
• Addresses complaints and resolves problems in a timely manner.
• Inspects products for conformance to specifications.
