Alsco Uniforms is seeking an Assistant Production Manager to assist the Production Manager in organizing and supervising the Production Department. The role includes hiring and training staff, and evaluating performance while driving labor efficiency and cost control.

The position emphasizes adherence to policies, standards and safety, with collaboration across engineering, sales and service management to ensure smooth plant operations and ongoing departmental success.

Qualifications

• High School graduation or equivalent required.
• Some business experience preferred.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• May hire and train new staff or assist management with this process.
• Conducts performance evaluations as requested by the Manager.
• Supports employment actions, including discipline and termination per policy.
• Monitors and optimizes labor utilization to improve productivity and costs.
• Conducts new hire and ongoing training in all production areas.
• Collaborates with engineering, sales, and service management for smooth operation.
• Ensures execution of production policies, standards and safety.
• Monitors budgets, hiring, discipline and employee relations.
• Attends meetings and performs other tasks as directed.
