Job Description: Assistant Production Manager

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will utilize your mechanical knowledge and plastics extrusion expertise to optimize manufacturing operations. Your skills in quality inspection, programmable logic controllers, and lean manufacturing practices will be essential in ensuring product integrity and streamlining production.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the extrusion team producing plastic sheet materials for various industries.
• Ensure safe and efficient extrusion operations through quality control and process management.
• Oversee training, maintenance, material handling, and equipment operations.
• Maintain safety, quality, and cleanliness standards.
• Support management initiatives and team development.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in plastics manufacturing, especially extrusion and injection molding.
• Proficiency in quality inspection and control standards.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers, CNC machinery, and hand tools.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, materials handling, and operating forklifts and press brakes.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish and English is preferred.
