Job summary

KIPP Northern California is seeking an Assistant Principal to partner with the School Leader to elevate academic achievement, culture, and educator effectiveness through instructional excellence and strong school-wide systems. You will own defined school priorities, develop teachers and emerging leaders, and ensure consistent implementation of practices that drive strong outcomes for all students.

This role also focuses on operations and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience as a K–12 educator serving students similar to KIPP NorCal's community.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and a valid California teaching credential or equivalent.
• Demonstrated success improving student achievement through instructional leadership, coaching, or teacher leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Drive high-quality instructional practice through coaching and standards-aligned instruction.
• Coach teachers and develop emerging instructional leaders through observations and feedback.
• Lead school-wide systems for behavior, student support, and culture to promote a joyful, safe learning environment.
• Oversee school operations priorities and collaborate with instructional, operations, and student support teams.
