Job summary

The Assistant Principal at KIPP Tulsa serves on the school leadership team to ensure a safe, joyful, rigorous, and supportive learning environment. You’ll develop teachers, strengthen instruction, support student culture, and use data to drive action with high expectations for every student.

You’ll lead within a collaborative team, translate priorities into action, and oversee instructional practices, attendance, behavior, and family engagement to move students toward college readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in education or related field preferred.
• Valid Oklahoma administrator certification or eligibility
• Minimum of 3–5 years of leadership experience in education
• Demonstrated evidence of improving student outcomes and supporting diverse learners
• Strong instructional leadership and data-driven decision making

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Principal to implement a data-driven academic vision and ensure standards-aligned instruction.
• Coach, develop, and evaluate teachers through regular observations and feedback.
• Analyze attendance, behavior, and academics to identify gaps and drive interventions.
• Foster a joyful, inclusive school culture with high expectations and accountability.
• Collaborate with families, counselors, and staff to support students’ academic and social needs.
• Lead professional development and school improvement initiatives aligned with priorities.

Education

Bachelor’s degree

Master’s degree in education or related field (preferred)
