Job summary

Gwinnett County Public Schools seeks an educational leader to assist the Principal in delivering a cohesive program across assigned schools. You will provide instructional leadership, help build a shared vision, and support a learning community using data to guide decisions.

You will oversee climate, staff development, teacher evaluation, and organizational management, while maintaining high expectations and strong communication with teachers, students, families, and the wider community.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field is required.
• Experience: 3 years of successful teaching experience; preferable at the same level as the administrative role.
• Licensure: Educational Leadership Tier I/II certification or eligibility in Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Principal in leading and implementing a cohesive educational program for assigned schools.
• Provide instructional leadership and help build a school vision; facilitate shared leadership and a learning community; use data to guide decisions; monitor curriculum and assessment.
• Oversee school climate with clear objectives; foster a positive environment and manage conflicts.
• Execute human resource functions: hire, induct, mentor, and support staff; provide professional growth opportunities; establish mentoring programs.
• Oversee the teacher evaluation process with a positive climate and compliant documentation.
• Participate in organizational management planning: safety, daily operations, budget/resource allocation, and technology management.
• Oversee communication with teachers, students, parents, and the larger community; exhibit professionalism and ethical standards.
• Influence student achievement by maintaining school goals and data-driven focus.
