Qualifications

• NC Principal’s License (current or pending).
• Three or more years of successful teaching experience.
• Strong instructional background and leadership skills.
• Skills in building interpersonal relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• Knowledge of curriculum, instructional strategies, and instructional data analysis.
• Skills necessary to assist in the development and implementation of all school programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist the principal in developing, implementing, and evaluating the instructional program.
• Support school leadership in analyzing student achievement data to improve classroom instruction.
• Assist with student discipline and help ensure a safe and orderly school.
• Meet with students, parents, and staff for the purpose of interpreting and administering school and system policies and programs.
• Participate with the principal in the management of the school and school activities.
• Supervise evening and after school activities, as needed.
• Assume responsibility for the school in the absence of the principal.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
